Medical Device Company Reaches Full DevSecOps Compliance

The Challenge

A medical device company was seeking a strategic partner with expertise in DevSecOps to support their AWS-based application development. 

The client faced significant challenges in meeting stringent compliance requirements, which resulted in labor-intensive manual reporting processes. This not only consumed valuable time but also strained their team’s resources.

Additionally, they lacked the capability to automate security and compliance within their AWS environment, further complicating their operations.

Solution

To address these challenges, Intellects Group implemented CloudGuard Dome9, a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution designed for public cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes. 

CloudGuard enables organizations to automate governance across multi-cloud assets and services. It offers features such as security posture visualization and assessment, misconfiguration detection, and enforcement of security best practices and compliance frameworks. For this client, CloudGuard was specifically configured to provide CSPM for their AWS environment.

The Result

Through a proof of concept (POC), Intellects Group demonstrated the ability to save the client significant time – potentially weeks – by automating compliance reporting, eliminating the need for manual processes. 

Additionally, the solution enabled the automation of over 30 accounts, proving to be far more cost-effective than hiring full-time employees (FTEs) to handle continuous reporting. This approach not only streamlined operations but also enhanced the client’s ability to maintain compliance efficiently.
